Sunset in Wyson - 30 x 18"

My textile art is largely inspired by the countryside local to Ludlow, near to where I live.

The various landscape inspired textile panels, which I create have evolved from the love of mountains, cliffs, hilly countryside and landscape in general. Man's impact on nature is also a factor, and how man made terracing and agriculture, have moulded and transformed landscape over the centuries.

Techniques include applique, layering, free machine embroidery, hand stitching, and hand dying of a range of fabrics including muslin, cotton scrim silk and silk organza.
